To follow up what Stephanie and Amy said, I want to shout out mad kudos to the LSHS 1988 Reunion committee and Mr. Scott Delk of Remember Me Reunions for putting on one heck of an event on Saturday, October 11th! To see such an awesome turnout in such a grand, splendid venue really made the whole event one I won't soon forget. Who will be able to forget Scott Wilson's video, or the insane elementary class photo in the lobby, or even the mad party at Beauchamp's the night before? Good times, good times! For those of you who could not attend, we truly and dearly missed you - we expect to see you at the next bash whenever that may be! Thank you EVERYONE for a great time! Donnie LSHS 88

Had a wonderful time this weekend! Surprised so many remembered me!:) It was great talking to everyone I actually “had the chance” to catch up with! The whole group did so much work to make it special. Thank you to the reunion leaders for taking time out of your lives, and your families lives, to make sure all of us had this rare opportunity to spend time together again. What remarkable people we all had a chance to start our lives out with. I felt very blessed! I have several photos that are really good of many of you. I hope you guys enjoyed yourselves as much as I did! We had a total of 144 attending the reunion; that is considered quite a success by reunion standards. The Class of '88 certainly upheld its well-deserved reputation for fun and foolishness last night! Anyway, thanks to everyone for coming, especially those who traveled from far away (TX, FL, CA, IN). Reunion committees can plan all they want, but it takes everyone to come together, make those emails and phone calls to old high school buddies...what can I say? Thanks doesn't quite cover it, but it'll have to do. When I looked out across the Sheraton ballroom, I couldn't help but notice that we are quite a diverse and eclectic bunch of people; I don't know if you can appreciate that or even notice that when you are in high school. It's great to see that we can all share a weekend twenty years later and still "party like it's 1999". Truly amazing! Wow! What a gift we received when we attended Raytown South High School. Thanks! It was a great weekend. With all the stuff going on in my life I truly enjoyed the break. It's funny that most of us haven't changed a lot, only for the better. Can't wait to plan the next get-together. I couldn't beleive how many people asked when and where the next one would be. Last night was amazing!!! Thanks to everyone who came and helped make it a truly memorable evening. I don't think I saw anyone not having a good time. And has it REALLY been 20 years? Second, I had the time of my life seeing everyone, hearing and telling stories and remembering faces. (I think some people made some stuff up--LOL!) After the flight from HELL. I finally made it back home very early this morning. Nothing like being stranded in Houston. However, even with all the flight delays, and spending more than 10 hours trying to get home. I have to admit that it was all worth it!!! I had a GREAT TIME! I would like to "Thank" Andrea, Shelly, Gina, Tiffany and Rich for all their hard work putting the 20 year reunion weekend together. WOW! I am sure glad I attended last night. It was great to see everyone again after so long. I liked the way the photographer took photos of elementary school groups as well. I can't wait to receive the photos. Hopefully even more of our class will join in the gatherings as the years pass. Maybe this website and word of mouth will help as well. Amazing Reunion! To the girls @ guys who organized what an outstanding job!!! It was great to see and connect with everyone yesterday. I do not know about anyone else; however, I spent most of the night in a bit of a daze coming to the realization that it has been 20 years! I had a great time last weekend. Sorry I was a bit out of sorts on Friday night but I had traveled all day Thursday, had my bag lost, only got 4 hours of sleep and was drinking all day so by the time we were at Sidepockets the 2nd time I was very tired and crabby. (And drunk)
I was talking to Bruce Pond on the phone earlier tonight and we were reading things that people wrote in our year books. I found one entry from Phil Bonk in the 86 yearbook where he wrote to me that in 20 years there will be no Motley Crue and if there is they will be singing 'Smoking in the Nursing Home.' LOL...It's so funny to read things people wrote that long ago. I hope everyone keeps in touch and keeps this site going. It will be fun to see everyone at the next reunion. My aunt was telling me today that her 50 year reunion is coming up soon and that she's going to that. 50 years!!! Can you imagine? Tina GHS 88

What can I say, 20 years later & I'm still a day late & dollar short! ha Just wanted to say THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the reunion committee! I know it's a little belated, but nevertheless (sp????), very well intended! (My grammar's a little off...Mrs. Simpson would be very sad indeed!) It was SO much fun reconnecting to so many long-lost friends. If I say so myself, we age well!!!! I think the class of 1988 has done pretty well for themselves (in preservation that is)!
